Session Description:
How long do you have to keep email? Should you delete everything after 90 days? Should you keep everything forever? Regardless of whether your organization creates the information or is the recipient, you still need to determine what must or should be retained and for how long. Add to the information mix the current ways in which information is created and communicated (email, instant messaging, social networking, or traditional paper documents), and what is an organization to do? The volume of information your nonprofit organization processes has been growing at an exponential rate. How do you guide your team members and anticipate issues?
